Stratford City is an ambitious regeneration project in the heart of Newham. The developers of Stratford City are keen to build strong links with the community and to incorporate its voice into their plans.

This brief was for students to assist in the planning of an event that celebrated Stratford City Education Projects achievements and the work that has been completed by students. Young people were able to take ownership for the planning and delivery of the event, as well as helping on the day. The students worked alongside a volunteer from Accenture, who assisted them with practical business advice.

The project enabled student voice to be incorporated into the Stratford City Showcase at all levels and allowed the young people to develop skills including: working as part of a team, time management, organisation and meeting deadlines.

The resource is suitable to be used for teachers of KS3-KS5 and covered: Enterprise, Business, Art & Design, ICT & English.
