Stratford City is an ambitious regeneration project in the heart of Newham, which is attracting international businesses and visitors with a strong national and international brand.
This brief was to work with Godwin and St James Junior schools on a project that developed partnership working developing a studentŐs ability to work as part of a team. The young people worked in six different teams which related to the overarching theme of Sports and Leisure. The six teams were: the organising committee, advertising, filming & photography, model making, coaching and research.
Each team comprised consisted of students from both primary schools working with a lead teacher. The young people worked collaboratively with outside agencies including artists, film makers and graphic designers to help them meet their objectives.
The project cumulated in a Sports Day which focused on the teams working together and mutually supporting each other.
This project was delivered to Year 4 students and worked across curriculum areas including: PE, ICT, Science, Literacy, Numeracy, Art & Design, Music, Design & Technology, PHSE as well as developing personal learning and thinking skills.
