Stratford City is an ambitious regeneration project in the heart of Newham, which needs to go out and attract businesses and visitors to its European business quarter and develop a strong national and international brand.
This brief was to supplement the Year 6 Circus Performance by bringing in specialists who work in the field of The Arts to allow young people to increase their awareness of potential careers. In addition students went on a visit to Stratford Circus which further enhanced their understanding.
The project was delivered across the curriculum as young people were able to utilise skills in Numeracy, Literacy, Art & Design and Music in the production.
Young people were able to understand the importance of The Arts to Newham and specifically the opportunities in this field emerging from the regeneration of Stratford and the construction of Stratford City.
